Nellie Jean Conway

Nellie Jean (Allen) Conway, 65, of Cape Coral, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. She was born Nov. 13, 1942, in Portsmouth, Va., to the late Genn and Alice (Perry) Allen.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Cape Alliance Church of Cape Coral, who played piano and loved to sing before becoming ill.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jon H. Conway; son, Jeffrey Conway; daughter, Janna Conway; brothers, David and Tommy Allen of Portsmouth, Va.; grandchildren, Phillip Conway of Cape Coral, Laura Kendrick of Biloxi, Miss., Heather Weaver of Minot Air Force Base, N.D., and Megan and Monica Conway of Huntsville, Texas; great-grandchildren, Christopher Kendrick, Dylan Conway, Davin Kendrick, Cody Conway and Zachary Weaver; and a very special family friend, Harvey Ihrig.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday at the Cape Alliance Church, at 4307 Skyline Blvd.

Her family has requested memorial donations in her name be made to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway E., Cape Coral, FL 33909-5405.
