Catherine ‘Cherri’ Rich

Catherine “Cherri” Rich, 93, of Fort Myers and formerly of Springfield, Ohio, died at 3:25 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2008, at Hospice in Cape Coral. She was born Jan. 27, 1915, in Sabina, Ohio, the daughter of Frank and Janie (Lynch) Cherryholmes.

She owned and operated the W.S. Rich business with her husband for a number of years. She was a member of Temple Sholom and the Elks.

She is survived by three granddaughters, Kathy Sinibaldi and Vicky Strine, both of Cape Coral, and Cindy Falk of Fort Myers; nephew, Ed Bentley of Bellbrook, Ohio; niece, Rita Howard of Fairborn, Ohio; nephew, Roger Cherryholmes of Albuquerque, N.M.; niece, Janie Funk in Portales, N.M.; niece, Wanda Funke in Frederick, Md.; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rich, in 1973; son, Sidney, in 1973; grandson, Lance, in 1978; brother, Meredith B. Cherryholmes; and sister, Mae Bentley.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Conroy Funeral Home with Rabbi Janice Garfunkel officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. A local memorial service will be held at a later date.
