Velma N. Mervin 

Velma N. Mervin, 88, formerly of Cape Coral, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, in Waterloo, Iowa. She was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Oelwein, Iowa, daughter of Jesse and Effie Reed Masters. She married Isadore Mervin July 17, 1945, in Brookings, S.D. He preceded her in death.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Cape Coral with burial to follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery. Public visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Metz Chapel of Harvey-Engelhardt-Metz Funeral Homes and Crematory, Cape Coral.
