Chester J. Wilk
Chester J. Wilk, 78, of Cape Coral, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008. He was born Nov. 26, 1929, in Detroit, a son of Frank and Stephanie Barnat Wilk, now deceased.
He was retired from General Motors, Cadillac Division, as an electrician with more than 30 years of dedicated service. He was an active member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Dearborn Heights, Mich. He was a devout Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings fan and supporter.
His memberships included the Cape Coral Moose Lodge 2199 and the Pinochle Club at the Tony Rotino Senior Center, and he was an avid golfer. He was also a volunteer at the Cape Coral Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Wilk of Cape Coral; children, Frank (Debbie) Wilk of Tennessee, Barbara Jean (Ralph) Loweke of Cape Coral, Debra Wilk (Roger) of Dearborn, Mich., Steven (Ann) Wilk of Dearborn Heights, Mich., Jeffrey (Kelly) Wilk of Dearborn Heights, Mich., and Tricia (Jeff) Winterstein of Cape Coral; eight grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy (Matthew) Gworek.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Coral Ridge Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Andrew Catholic Church.
