Charles Walter Dunlap Jr.
Charles Walter Dunlap Jr., of Cape Coral, formerly of Plymouth Meeting, Pa., and Roxborough in Philadelphia, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2008.
He was born Aug. 4, 1922, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Charles W. and Jane Jenkins Dunlap, now deceased.
He served his county honorably in World War II as a member of the 8th Army Air Force and was a POW in Germany.
He retired as a salesman from the Philadelphia Gas Co. His hobbies included hunting, training field dogs, music, playing drums, golf, flying and boating.
He was the loving husband of Bernice (Bunny) Dunlap for 51 years. In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Richard (Theresa) Dunlap; sister-in-law, LaVerne Dunlap McClennen; and a large extended family of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Dunlap.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church, at 4544 Coronado Parkway.
