Eugene E. McCormack

Eugene E. McCormack, 88, of Cape Coral, passed on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Hospice House North in Cape Coral. He was born Sept. 12, 1919, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of George E. and Elsie Lipster McCormack, now deceased.

He was retired from Cleveland Electric Products after 43 years of faithful service. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Cape Coral.

He had resided in Cape Coral since 1984, coming from Solon, Ohio.

He was the widower of Lucille McCormack. He was also preceded in death by a son, Allen McCormack Sr., and a daughter, Rusena McCormack.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Allen E. McCormack of Lake City, Fla., Patricia Mosher of Bronson, Fla., Scott Zimmerman of Gainesville, Fla., and Heidi Zimmerman of Archer, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Brandi Zimmerman, and Amie, Kevin, Destiny and Justin Mosher; and sister, Ella Mae Ferrato of Solon, Ohio.

A memorial service was held Tuesday at Messiah Lutheran Church, at 2691 N.E. Pine Island Road.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Coral Ridge Funeral Home.
