Lee County Bar Association forum Thursday at Harborside
Lee County Bar Association will present the county’s largest political forum of the year on Thursday, July 26, at Harborside. The forum will spotlight more than 60 confirmed candidates offering the public a unique opportunity to talk one-one, hear their positions on issues and make decisions about the races that are still undecided.
“The Candidates’ Forum at Harborside,” a free event sponsored by the Lee County Bar Association, will begin with a Mini-Expo at 5 p.m., followed by the forum at 6 p.m. Former Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp will moderate the forum, which is open to all qualified candidates for all elected offices. To date, 64 candidates have committed to attend.
The Mini-Expo will include information tables for campaign literature, a variety of local law firms, the LCBA Lawyer Referral Service, voter registration information and representatives from free legal services including Lee County Legal Aid and Florida Rural Legal Services.
Once the forum begins, the public will be able to submit written questions to the candidates about the issues facing the area and the nation.
