25 injured when tanker truck rear ends South Florida bus
MARGATE (AP) – A collision between a South Florida transit bus and a gasoline tanker truck has left 25 passengers injured.
Margate Fire Rescue Division Chief Dan Booker says the tanker truck rear-ended the Broward County bus Tuesday morning.
Rescue crews took 22 people to hospitals. Booker says one of them had serious injuries.
Three others were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Booker says the county transit buses have no seatbelts, and that may have contributed to the number of injuries.
Neither driver was injured.
