Man airlifted after machine accident
SANTA ROSA BEACH (AP) – A man was airlifted to a hospital after his arm got stuck between the rolling pins of a commercial ironing machine at a Florida Panhandle resort.
A fire rescue team spent more than 40 minutes trying to free the man’s arm from an ironing and folding machine at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin. The man had been underneath the machine at the time of the accident. Officials responded shortly before 8 a.m. Monday.
An official with the South Walton Fire District said that the man’s arm “became entrapped between two large roller pins when the machine started while he was working on it.”
