LAKE CITY (AP) – A fox has been killed after attacking a man at Lake City Community College.

According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission supervisor Capt. Roy Brown, Lake City resident Richard McGlew was sitting on a bench Wednesday morning when the fox came up and grabbed his pants leg.

When he grabbed the fox’s tail, it bit his hand and would not let go.

Another student came to McGlew’s aid and cut the fox’s throat. The fox’s body was found about 100 yards away in the brush.
