GREENACRES (AP) – Authorities say a woman has died after turning in front of a Greenacres police patrol car and causing a crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 69-year-old Azinta Thompson made a left turn through a red light Tuesday morning, just as a patrol car was approaching from the opposite direction with lights and sirens on. An FHP report says the patrol car had a green light.

Both drivers were flown to a Delray hospital, where Thompson later died.

FHP is still investigating the crash. No charges have been filed.
