Reward offered for information on eagle’s death
INDIAN SHORES, Fla. (AP) – A reward of more than $4,000 is being offered for information about who killed a bald eagle in Pinellas County.
Barbara Walker of the Clearwater Audubon Society, said the male eagle, which died of a blood infection Tuesday, was shot with a pellet or bullet.
Walker said the reward for information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of whoever shot the bird had already reached $4,150 and was still growing.
A spokeswoman for the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary said the nonprofit organization has already received some tips about the shooting.
