9 middle school girls arrested after fight
BOYNTON BEACH (AP) – Nine girls from a South Florida middle school are charged with resisting arrest after they allegedly refused to talk to police about a fight on a school bus.
The bus driver called Boynton Beach police to break up the fight Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, the students disrupted the officers’ investigation by refusing to stay seated or give their names. Police say they also yelled at their classmates not to cooperate.
Nine girls from Congress Middle School were charged with resisting arrest without violence. Their ages range from 12 to 15.
School district police also charged one student with battery for allegedly hitting a classmate.
