Cape Christian Serve Day 2020 activities this weekend
Cape Christian, the church with the park on Chiquita Boulevard, is not having services this weekend, March 7 and 8. Instead, members and volunteers are going to be out and about, serving the community.
Be on the lookout for the bright blue shirts and big smiles on Serve Day Weekend. It’s a weekend of service projects, joy and contributions at public parks, schools, gardens and more. Lead Pastor Cory Demmel and the 3,000 regular attendees to Cape Christian will be branching out to serve its surrounding community.
Over 1,000 volunteers are anticipated this year, serving at over 70 projects to help 50 organizations.
There will be a Volunteer Kick-Off Rally today, March 6, at 7 p.m., at Cape Christian 2110 Chiquita Blvd., S. Cape Coral.

Cape Alliance Church to hold Community Yard Sale Saturday
A Community Yard Sale will be held at Cape Alliance Church, 4307 Skyline Blvd., Cape Coral, this Saturday, March 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Approximately 60 vendors — mostly families in the community — will take part in this an annual event, along with a few flea-market type sellers.
The sale is open to the community with activities and a bounce house for the kids.

Peace Lutheran Church in Fort Myers hosting Free Resource Seminar and Lunch March 19
Peace Lutheran Church will be hosting a Free Resource Seminar and Lunch for seniors and or their caregivers. The free seminar and lunch will be held at the church, located at 15840 McGregor, Blvd., Fort Myers, 33908, from Thursday, March 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Join the guest panel of professional senior aging specialists as they discuss important topics as they pertains to senior wellbeing. Topics for this program will include: the development of the new South Fort Myers Florida Senior Center as the center helps to meet the needs of South Fort Myers seniors. Other community resources available to seniors include senior safety programs, visual impairment resources, memory care support and education resources, home health, adult day stay, respite, and assisted living questions, legal documents and financial planning, Elder Law, food resource programs, Medicare/Medicaid issues and more. There will be time for questions, plenty of literature and resource information available.

The Kramers to perform at Zion Lutheran Church tonight
The 2020 Winter Concert Series at Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Myers concludes tonight with a performance by The Kramers at 7 p.m. Admission is free and a love offering will be received. Doors open at 6 p.m., at the church, located at 7401 Winkler Road.
The Kramers is a national and international gospel group currently touring and ministering at 150 events a year. Members are Scott Kramer (vocals, guitar and keyboards), Rachel West Kramer (vocals), Maria Kramer Wolfe (daughter — vocals, ukulele, mandolin, piano and guitar) and Ben Wolfe (bass guitar).
The Kramers will perform two other concerts in Southwest Florida, both on Sunday, March 8. The first will be at 11 a.m. at Lee Boulevard Baptist Church in Lehigh Acres and the second is at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of LaBelle in LaBelle.

Tea Party March 11 at St.?Andrew Parish Hall in Cape Coral
On Wednesday, March 11, at noon, a Tea Party in the St. Andrew Parish Hall in Cape Coral.
Lunch catered by Personal Touch will include an assortment of sandwiches, scones, desserts and tea.
There will be a raffle and door prizes.

Gulf Coast Church of Christ to hold Huge Annual Garage Sale
A Huge Annual Church Garage Sale will be held at Gulf Coast Church of Christ in Fort Myers today and Saturday, March 6-7. The sale will include furniture (and a lot of it), clothes, tools, household, books, bikes, jewelry, children/baby items and much miscellaneous. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Cash and credit card accepted.
On Friday, the sale will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday the sale will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

African Children’s Choir to perform in Fort Myers and Cape Coral
The African Children’s Choir will be performing at Cypress Lake United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 29, at 4 p.m., and at First Baptist Church in Cape Coral on Sunday, April 5, at 10 a.m.
The African Children’s Choir melts the hearts of audiences with their charming smiles, beautiful voices and lively African songs and dances.
The program features well-loved children’s songs, traditional Spirituals and Gospel favorites. Concerts are free and open to all. A free-will offering is taken at the performance to support African Children’s Choir programs, such as education, care and relief and development programs.
Music for Life (The parent organization for The African Children’s Choir) works in the African countries: Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and South Africa. MFL has educated over 52,000 children and impacted the lives of over 100,000 people through its relief and development programs during its history. MFL purpose is to help create new leadership for tomorrow’s Africa, by focusing on education.

Faith Presbyterian Church to hold next fish fry dinner March 27
On Friday, March 27, from 4:30-7 p.m., Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral will be holding an All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry (& Bake).
The cost is $10 per person for adults and $6 per person for children age 4-12, with children 3 and under free. The family maximum is $30 (immediate family only). Extended family or additional guests added to a family will be charged separately.

Church of God Prophecy on Pine Island chicken dinner March 14
The Church of God of Prophecy, at 15146 Stringfellow Road in Bokeelia, will be holding its fried chicken dinner (baked upon request) with mashed potatoes and gravy, corn or green beans, bread, dessert and coffee or iced tea.
Open to the public, the dinner will be held Saturday, March 14, from 12:30 3:30 p.m.
Take-out orders can be made early up until noon Saturday. Pick-up will be from 12:30 4:30 p.m.
