Lake Kennedy Senior Center

The Lake Kennedy Senior Center presents:

– Friday: Trip to Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood. Arrive at the center by 8 a.m. Leave at 8:15 a.m. Cost is $45 for members and $55 for non-members.

– July 24: Annual Summer Luau with DoubleDare at 7 p.m. Cost is $22 for members and $32 for non-members.

– July 31: T.G.I.F. Dance from 6:30-9 p.m. Cost is $4 for members and $8 for non-members.

– Aug. 8: Trip to Visani Inner Theater in Port Charlotte.

– Wednesdays: Natural Golf with Joe Tranchida at 1 p.m. Wear comfortable clothing and footware. Bring a driver, a 6-iron, a 9-iron and putter. Cost is $2 for members and $6 for non-members.

– Wednesdays: Line dancing with Tenny Popa at 9:30 a.m. Cost is $3 for members and $7 for non-members.

Tony Rotino Senior Center

The Tony Rotino Senior Center, 5817 Driftwood Parkway, presents:

– Saturday: Fabulous 50s Party, featuring the De Prados, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Cost is $19.

– July 31: Trip to Tin City in Naples.

– Aug. 1: Cubs vs Marlins baseball trip to Miami from 3 p.m.-1 a.m. Cost is $55 and includes roundtrip transportation from the Cape Coral Yacht Club, game ticket, parking and tolls, and snacks and soft drinks during bus trip.

– First Wednesday of every month: Sunset celebration from 4:30 p.m. to sunset.

Belly dance classes

Beginning belly dance class from 8-9 p.m. Mondays, and advanced belly dance class from 7-8 p.m. Mondays. Learn the ancient art and modern styles of the dynamic dance with professional belly dancer and 2002 Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Danse Orientale award recipient Sherry “Na’ila” Coffey. Dance celebration

Dancing Across Borders, a cross-cultural dance celebration, will be held Sunday at Rhythm in Motion Dance Academy, 3333 Del Prado Blvd. S. Co-sponsored by SW FL Bellydance. Doors open at 7 p.m. for a complementary international mezze and bazaar. Dance showcase at 7:30 p.m. featuring belly dance, Hawaiian hula, Bollywood, Persian, African, fusion and hoop dance performances. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Edison & Ford Winter Estates

Edison & Ford Winter Estates presents “Music, Movies & Dance,” a new exhibit opening mid-July. The exhibit focuses on the interests and inventions of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford related to music, dance and the movies. The exhibit is free with any paid Estates admission. Taste of Lee

The Lee County Extension Office and The Caloosa Rare Fruit Exchange will host the second annual Taste of Lee from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in the Community Room at First Baptist Church, located at Second Street and Jackson Street in downtown Fort Myers. It is a gift to the community of tropical fruit that grows easily in the area. Not only is there an extensive display of unusual beautiful fruit, there are tasting tables of mounds of the fruit with club members available to answer questions. Per the request of last year’s visitors, a few vendors will be on hand with fruit trees on sale. Local growers and farmers also will be present. Bring a can of food for CCMI Food Bank. GAEA Guides present the following kayak tours:

– Friday: Kayak clinic for beginners from 9-11:30 a.m. at Manatee Park, 10901 Palm Beach Blvd. Cost is $40 per person.

– Friday: Sunset/bird rookery on Caloosahatchee River from 6-9 p.m. Leave from Royal Palm Park, 299 Royal Palm Park Road. Cost is $40 per person.

– Saturday: Estuary in Estero Bay from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Leave from Dog Beach, 8600 Estero Blvd., Bonita Beach. Cost is $40 per person.
