Lake Kennedy Senior Center

T.G.I.F. Dace Fridays July 31, Aug. 14 and 28, Sept. 4 and 18.

Line dancing with Tenny Popa Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. The cost is $3 per person for members and $7 per person for non-members.

Strictly beginners bridge with Mary Greico, Fridays from June 5 to July 31. The cost is $32 per person for members and $64 per person for non-members.

Belly dance class

Belly dance class for teens and adult. Have fun learning the ancient art and modern styles of this dynamic dance with professional Belly Dancer and 2002 Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Danse Orientale award recipient Na’ila (Sherry Coffey). New Neighborhood Watch Group Sign-Up Meeting –

Thursday, June 25, at 7 p.m. at the Cape Coral Police Department, Nicholas Parkway, Community Room. Plan to attend the sign-up meeting if you are interested in starting a neighborhood watch group in your area. Sign-up meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month. Cape Coral Elks Lodge

Cape Coral Sailing Club

American Sewing Guild

Edison author to speak

Michele Wehrwein Albion, author of The Florida Life of Thomas Edison will be speaking about her book at the following venues:

June 23 at noon at Gulf Coast Live, 90 1 FM and June 23, 6 p.m. Southwest Florida Historical Museum.

Southwest Florida Museum of History

Explore three of the Travel Channel’s top 10 places of mystery right here in Lee County. The Southwest Florida Museum of History continues hosting the popular Forbidden History Exhibit through June 20. This exhibit features 35 replicas of historical anomalies, mysteries and their stories.

Among them, the Crystal Skulls of South and Central America that served as the backdrop for the popular 2008 movie: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Also on the list are crop circles and the exhibit’s showpiece, the Ark of the Covenant.

Medicare seminar at Shell Point

The public is invited to attend a seminar on the changes in Medicare and healthcare sponsored by the Shell Point Academy at Shell Point Retirement Community, on Tuesday, June 23, beginning at 7:15 p.m. in the Village Church Auditorium, which is located on The Island at Shell Point. The will be Ronald D. Castellanos, M.D., Commissioner, Medicare Payment Advisory Commission; and founding member of Southwest Florida Urologic Associates, where he has practiced for the past thirty years.

Bruce W. Galbraith

Bruce W. Galbraith of Bonita Springs has been chosen as a 2009 inductee to the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance Hall of Fame. Ceremonies will take place at UM’s Homecoming, Sept. 25, in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Southwest Florida Symphony has relocated their offices to the McGregor Lakes office ark at 12652 McGregor Blvd. Bldg. 4-403.
