Alcoholics Anonymous

For information about meeting times and addresses in Cape Coral and Lee County, call the Lee County Area Intergroup Central Office in Fort Myers at 275-5111. The phone is manned 24 hours a day. Information about Al-Anon meetings is also available at the Intergroup office.

Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous

Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is a 12-step program for individuals suffering from food obsession, overeating, under eating and bulimia. No dues, fees or weigh-ins. Multiple Sclerosis support group

The Multiple Sclerosis support group meets from 3-4:30 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month at the Cape Coral Hospital, Meeting Room A. For information, call Rick at 541-0268 or Kevin at 542-2549.

The group also meets at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month at St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church, 5011 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers. For information, call 574-4271.

Lee County Military Family Support

Lee County Military Family Support meets at 3 p.m. on the fourth Sunday of every month at Bob Evans on Del Prado Boulevard. For information, call Barb at 214-1727.

Abuse Counseling and Treatment

Abuse Counseling and Treatment offers the following support groups:

– Sexual assault support group: Support groups and individual counseling for adult survivors of sexual assault/abuse.

– Domestic violence: Support groups and individual counseling for adult victims of emotional, verbal or physical abuse.

The 24-hour hotline is 939-3112.

Amputee Support Group

The Amputee Support Group meets once a month on Thursday at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fifth Floor, Fort Myers. A group for recent or longtime amputees. Anyone may attend, amputees and caregivers especially. Anyone interested in attending can call Bob Nagle at 464-6420.

New Voice Club of Southwest Florida

The New Voice Club of Southwest Florida is a support group serving laryngectome survivors in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Estero, Bonita Springs and Naples. The club meets at 1 p.m. on the first Friday of each month at Lee Memorial Hospital, Medical Staff Conference Room, 2776 Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers. For information, call 936-1113.

Narconon

Narconon means no drugs or narcotics. It is a nonprofit, public benefit organization dedicated to helping people get off drugs and live productive lives.
