Juniper Village events
In March, it’s all about performances and celebrating the arts at Juniper Village at Cape Coral, an assisted living community. Several events are taking place this month, and the entire residence is inviting Cape Coral Residents to stop by.
March 24, a Whodunnit Dinner. Murder Mystery at Juniper Village. Enjoy dinner and a murder mystery play. Reservations are required and seating is limited. The cost to attend is $10 and all proceeds will benefit the Cape Coral Caring Center.
Juniper Village at Cape Coral is located at 4920 Viceroy Court.

Drug House Odyssey
The Coalition for a Drug-Free Southwest Florida needs volunteers, age 18 and up, to help with this year’s Drug House Odyssey.
Volunteers are needed March 24, 25 and 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Drug House Odyssey will be held at Cape Christian Fellowship, 2110 Chiquita Boulevard South, Cape in Coral.

Blood pressure and blood sugar clinics
Tatalomo’s Nurses Registry will provide complimentary blood pressure and blood sugar clinics on the third Monday of each month that began Monday, March 16 at 9 a.m., at Lake Kennedy Senior Center, 400 Santa Barbara Blvd. The cost is free. For more information call 574-0575.

Caregivers support
The Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group will meet Wednesday, March 25, 9:45 a.m. at Westminster presbyterian Church, 9065 Ligon Court, Fort Myers. The program, with speaker, Jo Stecher from the FGCU School of Nursing.

Support groups and classes are provided by NAMI Lee County free of charge.
NAMI Connection is a support group for adults who have been diagnosed with any mental illness. Meetings:
Monday nights at Lee Memorial Hospital in room 2, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday night at Lee Mental Health, Ruth Cooper Campus, 2780 Ortiz Ave., Building F, Fort Myers, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Thursday afternoon United Way House, 1105 Cultural Parkway, Cape Coral, in Family Course:
Family in Family Courses: for loved ones of those diagnosed with a mental illness. Taught three to four times per year and is taught in various areas of Lee County.
Peer to Peer Course: for persons with a diagnosis of any mental illness. Taught three-four times per year in various locations in Lee Count.

Putting the Pieces Together, a support group for loved ones of adolescents, who have been diagnosed with a mental illness, 6 to 8 p.m., Riverside Church 8660 Daniels Parkway, Main Building.
Healthy Start
Healthy Start helps ensure that moms and babies have access to needed medical care and other community services to help give each baby a healthy start in life. Each year, Healthy Start serves more than 18,000 pregnant women babies and young children under the age of 3, who are at high risk for poor health outcomes.

Rainbow Trails
Rainbow Trails, the Hope Hospice bereavement camp for children, needs male counselors to work with boys between the ages of 6 and 16.
The camp will be held in Ellenton from June 5 through 7. Bus transportation from Fort Myers is provided for the entire group.
Each counselor will be responsible for three boys. Duties may include supervision during recreation activities, entertainment and meals, and making sure the boys are accounted for each night.
Rainbow Trails is a highly rewarding experience for everyone involved.
All applicants will undergo a police background check.
Applicants must attend three training sessions, on April 27, May 4 and May 11, from 5 to 7 p.m., as well as the entire weekend of camp.
