Family of God Church on March 14, brings their first annual Job and Finance Fair to the Cape Coral Community. Partnering with a large variety of local non-profit and government agencies allows the church to provide one of the most comprehensive gatherings of organizations offering help to the citizens of Cape Coral.

“We called it a Job and Finance Fair,” explains Paul Rose, Jr., “but once we started brainstorming ideas, we realized it was far more reaching than that. We are bringing in groups that deal with housing and foreclosure, including the City of Cape Coral and Freddie Mac, groups that help with job placement and training, like Lee County Human Services, Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and High Tech North, and Thrivent Financial, that offers free financial planning. But we are also bringing in groups that assist with other factors that affect people’s financial situation, like Lutheran Social Services, AngelFood Ministries and Florida Rural Legal Services. Additionally, we’ll be providing help with resume preparation and tips on debt reduction.”

Pastor Rus Yoak explains, “Family of God Church is a growing church, with a firm foundation in God’s Word, dedicated to reaching out to the young families of our community, so we looked at ways we could fulfill that purpose, regardless of people’s religious backgrounds. Our mission is to help the community,and I don’t think anyone would argue that the community desperately needs something like this right now.

Our hope is that as many people as possible can find help for their financial situation.”
