Beginning this evening at 5 p.m. the following roads will start to close for President Obama’s visit. By 6 a.m. Tuesday all closures will be completed:

All of Edwards Drive

Bay Street from Jackson to Monroe

Monroe Street from First Street to Edwards Drive

Jackson Street from First Street to Edwards Drive

Hendry Street from First Street to Edwards Drive

Dean Street from First Street to Edwards Drive

Parking downtown will be limited. Police suggest ticket-holders park near the Red Sox Stadium. There will also be parking at the Old Boulevard Plaza (Empty field next to the new Publix shopping center) on West First Street for a fee. People who don’t have tickets or who don’t live or work downtown are asked to avoid the area.
