VFK elects board president
Acie Forrer, senior vice president of commercial banking for First American Bank, was elected board president of Voices for Kids at the annual meeting.
“I originally joined the VFK board over three years ago in support of local abused children who deserve to have a Guardian ad Litem adult advocate to stand up for their rights,” said Forrer.
“My goal as board president is for Voices for Kids to be able to serve 100 percent of the abused children in Lee, Hendry, Charlotte, Glades and Collier counties, and to let community people know about the many children who need their support through Voices for Kids,” he said.
Forrer is a University of South Florida graduate with a master’s in management from Troy State.
He is married with two young daughters.
Voices for Kids is a non-profit organization supporting the Guardian ad Litem Program.
The program supports volunteers who advocate for abused children in court, the community and with the child welfare system.
