Harbour View Gallery
Barbara Leger, oil painter, and Tania Begg, beaded wire sculpture artist, are the February 2009 featured visiting artists at the Harbour View Gallery located at 5789 Cape Harbour Drive, Unit 104, at the Marina at Cape Harbour in Cape Coral.
An opening exhibition wine and cheese reception will be held at the gallery today, Feb. 3, from 6-8 p.m. The reception is open to the general public.

The Cape Coral Art League 2009 classes schedule has been announced. Classes are held in four-week sessions unless otherwise stated.
A new class of drawing for painters, entitled The Drawing Process, Start to Finish,” will be held Wednesday, Feb. 4-Feb. 25; March 4-March 25, 9 a.m.-noon The cost is $60 for members; $80 for non-members for a four-week session. Call Gale Dale at 239-543-5333 to register.

Cape Arts Studio
The Southwest Florida Craft Guild Exhibit Reception for “The Annual” exhibit will be held Friday, Feb. 13, 5-7 p.m.
“The Annual,” sponsored by the Southwest Florida Craft Guild, will be held through February at the Cape Coral Arts Studio, 4533 Coronado Parkway. It is a juried exhibit showcasing the guild members’ diverse talent and superior craftsmanship. More than two dozen fine craft artists will be exhibiting their work in clay, glass, wood, mixed media, sculpture and fiber. The reception is free and open to the public.

Cape artist featured at county office
This month, Ann Shuey, or Anshu as she signs her work, will be exhibiting her Italy-inspired original artwork at the downtown District No. 4 Commission office of Tammy Hall’ through April 4. Call 239-533-2226.

Alliance of the Arts
The Alliance for the Arts, on Feb. 6, from 5-7 p.m., will hold an opening reception for the second exhibition part of the “Alliance Goes Abstract” series, showing artist Hollis Jeffcoat. The exhibition is titled Variation on Abstraction. The exhibition will be displayed Feb. 6-28.

Edison Festival of Light
The Edison Festival of Light is now excepting applications for the Annual Arts and Crafts Show, Crafts on the River to be held Feb. 20, 21 and 22, in Centennial Park. The park will be transformed into a craft lovers dream with exhibitors displaying their handmade crafts and art during the three-day event.
