The Mid-Cape Racquet & Health Club will host the West Coast Super Seniors Grand Prix Tournament the week of Jan. 19-26.

The event, to be held at the Mid-Cape Racquet & Health Club, will be Cape Coral’s largest tennis event ever and one of the largest in Southwest Florida, organizers said.

The tournament includes men’s singles and doubles, ages 55-90. Players come from all over the world to compete for prize money and rankings. There will be top ranked national and world competitors! Organizers anticipate having more than 200 entrants across 16 divisions, including some of the best tennis players in the world, several ranked No. 1 in their respective divisions.

While these are national and international players, some of whom are the best in the world, it might still be fun for some of our local players to play a different group and at a different level, organizers said. For those local players who may be interested in playing but have not yet registered, registrations still are being accepted.

The Mid-Cape Racquet & Health Club is located at 1300 Ceitus Terrace in Cape Coral, one block north of Pine Island Road between Skyline and Chiquita Boulevard.
