The following programs will be held at the Cape Coral Yacht Club.
Monday, Jan. 5 through Jan. 26 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Resident fee is $45 and $40 for non-residents.
Thursday, Jan. 22, from 7 to 9 p.m., Recreational boating seminar. Resident fee is $15 and non-resident pay $18.

Lake Kennedy Senior Center
Friday, Jan. 8, spend a day at the Tampa Bay Downs. Leave from the center at 8:15 a.m. (arrive by 8 a.m.) Cost is $60 for members and $70 for non-members.
Friday, Jan. 23, take a day cruise from Captiva Island aboard the Lady Chadwich to Cabbage Key, Friday, Jan. 23. Leave the center at 8:15 a.m., arrive by 8 a.m.) Cost $84 for members and $94 for non-members.
Bridge with Mary Greico: Strictly beginners bridge-part II, Mondays, 10 to noon. Cost is $24 for members for six classes, $48 for non-members for six classes. Advanced beginners-intermediate bridge on Fridays from 10 to noon. Cost is $4 for members or $8 for non-members.
Clogging classes with instructor Lee Luberti Mondays: beginner plus from noon to 1 p.m.; intermediate from 1 to 2 p.m. Cost is $6 for members and $10 for non-members for both classes.
Dance classes
Improv: Mondays at 8:30.m., cost is $3 for members and $7 for non-members.
Evening improv: Mondays at 7 p.m. Cost is $3 for members and $7 for non-members.

Four Mile Cove/Eco Preserve
There will be a guided kayak tour of Four Mile Cove/Eco Preserve on Saturday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m.-noon. Cost is $35 for Cape residents and includes kayak rental. Advance registration is required. Call 549-4606 to register or for more information.

Divine Dream Drawing-Kick Off for the benefit of the Southwest Florida Symphony Society is on Thursday, Jan. 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. at North Star Yacht Club, 3420 Hancock Bridge Parkway, North Fort Myers. SWFL Symphony welcomes back Kunzel
Prince of Pops. Kunzel and the Southwest Florida Symphony salute Rodgers and Hammerstein Jan. 9 and 10, at 8 p.m. at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall. Hand picked by Kunzel, the three special guests have performed with him on several occasions and will be featured throughout the program. Tiffany Haas is a graduate of University of Cincinnati-Conservancy of Music (CCM) and 2002 Miss Ohio.
Max Quinlan is a recent graduate of CCM and made his professional theatrical debut with the National Touring Company of the musical Ragtime.
Michael Lowe, a graduate of CCM, has performed many times with the Cincinnati Pops including at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

The Mangrove Gathering
The Mangrove Gathering is for people who care about the Earth and gives them a place to socialize, with live music, coffee and tea, wireless internet, informational displays and organizations, and all of the current local information on Southwest Florida environmental happenings.

American Jewish Committee honors Rex Jensen
The West Coast Florida Chapter of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) will honor Mr. Rex Jensen, President and CEO of Schroeder-Manatee Ranch, Inc., on Thursday, Jan. 8, with its 2009 Civic Achievement Award at Fete Catering & Ballroom at Polo Grill in Lakewood Ranch.
The dinner chairs are Carol Whitmore, District 6 Manatee County Commissioner, and Philip A. Delaney, Jr., president, Northern Trust Bank. The key-note speaker for the evening will be Dr. Henry Fishkind, a premier economist in the state of Florida.

Mastersingers hold auditions for Brahms Requiem
The Fort Myers Symphonic Mastersingers will hold auditions on Sunday, Jan. 11, for singers interested in performing the Brahms Requiem. There will be two performances with full orchestra, one on March 28, at First Presbyterian Church in Bonita Springs and a second one at Burnt Store Presbyterian Church on March 29. years. The concert will be conducted by Nancy Cobb-Lippens, artistic director of the Mastersingers. Soloists will be Jeannie Darnell, soprano and Allan Henderson, baritone.
