Area Kiwanis clubs have logged more than 100 volunteer hours to the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Collection Campaign this holiday season.

But because of the ailing economy more volunteers and donations are needed to meet the increased demand for the Salvation Army’s services.

The Salvation Army has registered more than 3,200 families who need help during the holidays. The area Kiwanis clubs challenge the community to help to meet this need.
