‘We Care For Hair Concert’

On Sunday at 7 p.m., the “We Care For Hair” concert will be held at First United Methodist Church, 4118 Corado Parkway.

The purpose for the musical celebration is to raise funds to be used solely for the purpose of providing hair systems to patients receiving chemotherapy and who will lose their hair.

There are many people who cannot afford to purchase a hair system. Barry and Anton, at Barry Anton’s Hair Salon, takes care of this need.

We Care For Hair can only help people if people purchase tickets and CDs, which are found at the salon.

All money collected for the program will go toward the purchase and upkeep of the hair systems.

Purchase tickets at Barry Anton’s Hair Salon, 1611 S.E. 47th Terrace. For pick up in Fort Myers, call 415-1828.

‘Angel Tree’

J.L. Wallace Inc. and Royal Corinthian Homes are sponsoring a Salvation Army “Angel Tree” in their corporate headquarters this holiday season. They have partnered with the Salvation Army to help children in the local community have a brighter Christmas.

“Angels” will be available until Monday in the main lobby of the two companies located at 9111 West College Pointe Drive in Fort Myers. Each “angel” represents an underprivileged child in Lee County by age and gender.

To sponsor an “angel,” purchase a new toy and return it, unwrapped, with all tags still attached, along with the “angel” card to the J.L. Wallace and Royal Corinthian Homes offices no later than Dec. 10. The public is invited to participate.
