Cape Christian Fellowship

This week Pastor Wes Furlong concludes the series, “SIGNS” with the message, “Can You Lend a Hand?” Is there a time and place to “judge” somebody? How do you confront someone “in love?” What are the rules for “fighting fair?” This week we’ll navigate the mind field healthy conflict constructive criticism.

Sunday contemporary worship times are 9 and 11 a.m. There are classes for children and youth and a safe and caring nursery provided during all worship gatherings. The EDGE High School gathering is held on Wednesdays 7-9 p.m.

Church of Jesus

Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on Friday, Nov. 21, from 5-7 p.m., is opening its doors to the community for a free dinner in celebration of the Week of The Family. The church is located at 1928 Chiquita Blvd. Everyone is invited. The young women and young men organizations of the church will be serving and busing tables in service in the community.

DayBreak Fellowship

Day of Thanks hosted by DayBreak Fellowship will take place Sunday, Nov. 23 at 10:45 a.m. on the church property located at 2327 S.W. Trafalgar Parkway, Cape Coral. The outdoor lakeside service will include a live praise band and contemporary worship service followed by a complimentary Thanksgiving buffet. Episcopal Epiphany Church

Every once in a while, an opportunity knocks on the door of a church and says, “Here’s one for the masses.”

On Nov. 23, the youth and adult choirs of Epiphany Episcopal Church will forego conventional hymns during the traditional Sunday afternoon service. Instead, they will perform songs from the Irish rock band U2.

This event is called U2-Charist – a play on the word Eucharist, which is the Holy Communion in the Anglican Church.

The lead singer for U2, Bono, is very outspoken on issues of social injustice and hunger eradication. Bono is one of the founders of DATA (Debt, AIDS, Trade, Africa www.data.org), an international organization dedicated to addressing extreme poverty and the AIDS epidemic by educating and empowering people to action.

In conjunction with this event, Epiphany will conduct a canned food drive for local food banks including Cape Coral Caring Center. Everyone in the community is invited to attend regardless of a person’s faith or denomination.

First Church of God (Anderson, Ind.)

The First Church of God of Cape Coral is a small, multi-cultural place to worship. Activities are planned for all ages.

The annual “Hanging of the Greens” service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 30. All church Christmas Dinner and WCG Auction will be held on Dec. 14..

Trinity Church and School

Taize Comes Back to

St. Raphael’s

Episcopal Church

St. Raphael’s Church on Williams Drive in Fort Myers Beach brings back their Taize Healing Service on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. The Taize Healing Service is an ecumenical service of scripture readings, songs, and silent prayer. The purpose of the service is to bring reconciliation and healing.

The word Taize comes from the name of a small town in France where Brother Roger began his community of brothers after World War II.

Sadly, Brother Roger was killed during an evening prayer service.

Pine Island United Methodist Church
