Cape Harbour Farmers Market
The Cape Harbour Farmers Market is offering organic produce and citrus, a fish market and baked goods, flowers, paintings treats for your four legged friends and other assorted items.
The market is open every Saturday until Oct. 18, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. No admission fee. Cape Harbour’s Expo Island is located at 5703 Cape Harbour Drive.
Senior Centers
Both Tony Rotino and Lake Kennedy Senior Centers are starting their annual membership drive. Renew now and save. Beginning Oct. 1, the fee for membership will increase to $25 for Cape Coral residents and to $40 for non-residents. Call the Tony Rotino Senior Center located at 5817 Driftwood Parkway in the Yacht Club Community Park at 239-574-0807, or the Lake Kennedy Senior center located at 400 Santa Barbara Blvd., at 239-574-0875 for more information.

The Joint at Cape Harbour
Responding to the popularity of Tuesday Night Boogie and Blues, The Joint at Cape Harbour is adding two additional nights of live music entertainment through summer.
Every Friday evening from 6-9 p.m. rock and roll pianist Chris Workman kicks off the weekend by playing audience requests and original tunes. Sunday afternoon from 3-6 p.m. acoustic guitarist Jeff Lyons provides the perfect mix of melodies from the 60s to today.
All live music at The Joint is performed rain or shine. Weather permitting, the musicians play at the cabana bar on Fridays and Sundays. Boogie and Blues are still being held every Tuesday night from 6-10 p.m. at center stage on Expo Island.

Indoor flea market
The cost for spectators and shoppers is free. The doors will be open from 8 a.m. to noon and at 6:30 a.m. for vendor set-up. The Flea Market will be a monthly event the second Saturday of every month. The indoor flea market will next be held Oct. 11. Doors open for vendors at 6:30 a.m. ($20 per eight foot table) and 8 a.m. for spectators and shoppers free.
The Tony Rotino Senior Center will hold its second annual Natural Lifestyle Expo on Oct. 18, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Yacht Club. This event will be free to the public. The cost for exhibitors is $125.

Applications for Columbus Day Parade
The Sons of Italy, Charles J. Bonaparte Lodge No. 2504, and the Community Redevelopment Agency invite Southwest Floridians to join in celebrating Columbus Day Parade and italian Food Fest Saturday, Oct. 11. from 4-10 p.m.
Featured entertainment: The Rat Pack Now, a tribute Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr.

The following programs, events or trips have been planned at Cape Coral Yacht Club.
On-going tennis classes
— Walk in play, $4 resident fee/$6 non-resident fee (per person per hour.
— Men’s night, Wednesday, 7-8:30 p.m. Cost $4 non-members
— Sunday, Ladies morning Sunday Round Robin from 9-10:30 a.m. Come and play round robin every Sunday morning, $4 non-members.
— Friday: Mixed doubles round robin, the first and third Friday 6-9 p.m. Drop in, no reservations, $3 fee.
Sunset Celebration: Sunset Celebration Wednesday, Oct. 1, on the pier is going in pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Over 20 vendors will be selling their arts and crafts. This event is free.
Swing/ballroom dance lessons (ages 18 and older) Mondays, Oct. 6-Oct. 27, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Resident fee $45, non-resident $49.
Real live pet show Friday, Oct. 10, at 6 p.m. Cost $5 per person.
Fishing equipment and rigging, Thursday, Oct. 16, 7-9 p.m. Resident fee $20, non-resident $22.
Fall wedding expo Sunday, Oct. 19, 1-4 p.m. Admission $2.

Bird Patrol tour
Canoe through islands of nesting wading birds with a Bird Patrol Guide Saturday, Oct 4, 8:30-10:30 a.m. (arrive by 8:15) at Lakes Regional Park located in south Fort Myers on Gladiolus Dive west of Cleveland Avenue. American Hibiscus Society
The James E. Hendry Chapter of the American Hibiscus society will hold its next meeting on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 1:30 p.m. at the Robb and Stucky Interiors Community room, 13170 S. Cleveland Ave. Guests are welcome.
Senior Friendly Extravaganza!
The 4th Annual Senior Friendly Extravaganza! presented by Mature Lifestyles magazine is coming to the Lee Civic Center, Fort. Myers, on Wednesday and. Thursday Oct. 15 and 16, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.
The event features over 200 “Senior-Friendly” booths with information on senior services, lifestyles, health and wellness, finance, travel and more. Free parking,admission, food and drink, entertainment, screenings, and free prizes and giveaways to its senior attendees.
