Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife

Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife will hold its general meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Rotary Park Environmental Center, 5505 Rose Garden Road.

Fort Myers Republican Women’s Club to host forum

Republican candidates for Lee Memorial Hospital Board have been invited to speak at a candidates’ forum of the Fort Myers Republican Women’s Club Federated on Tuesday, Sept. 16. They include incumbent Marilyn Stout and challenger Stephen Brown in District 1; incumbents Linda Brown and Lois Barrett and challenger Jason Moon in District 3; and incumbents Kerry Babb and James Green and challengers Robert Freiburger and Vilmar Ribeiro in District 5. They will discuss their qualifications, then participate in a question-and-answer session.

The public is invited to attend the monthly luncheon and the program being held in Taeni Hall on the Edison State College campus, South Fort Myers. A social hour begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by a noon lunch, business meeting and candidate forum. The cost for the luncheon is $16. Reservations are required by Thursday, Sept. 11, and may be made by contacting Tina Laurie, 489-4701.

The Fort Myers Republican Women’s Club is affiliated with the Florida Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women.



LCGS
