Autumn Air Conditioning giving A/C units to those in need
Autumn Air Conditioning of Cape Coral will be donating air conditioning units in an on-going campaign called “Autumn Cares.”
“For every 10 air conditioners we sell, we will donate one to a family or individual in need,” said Terri Gomez, company general manager.
The company will choose recipients from nominations made by friends, family or any individual noting why they believe the person or family is deserving of the unit.
“It will be a Rheem Unit, valued between $2,000 and $5,000. It depends on the size of the systems for the person’s house,” Gomez said.
“We want someone to nominate a person; there is no financial limit or requirements. We recognize in this economy there are so many factors that come into financial need.”
You can nominate in several ways. You can go to the company website, autumnairconditioning.com, or call directly with questions at 574-7745. You can also email to autumairconditioning@yahoo.com, or mail the nomination to Autumn Air Conditioning, 951 Country Club Blvd,. Unit A, Cape Coral FL 33990, Attn: Terri.
You will need to include name, address, phone number and basic reason for need.
“We’re a smaller business locally owned and operated,” Gomez said. “All of our owners are from Lee County. One of our owners is a former police officer from Ohio, so honesty is one of our big priorities. We’ve been in business since 2001, just relocated within the last year to Cape Coral from Bonita Springs.”
Again there is no set time for the program. “Autumn Cares” is on-going.
