Port Authority hosts delegation from Poland, Ukraine Lee County Port Authority hosts delegation from Poland and Ukraine The Lee County Port Authority hosted a delegation of senior airport officials from Poland and Ukraine, who were in the United States on an orientation visit sponsored by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, on Nov. 13 through 14. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the Polish and Ukrainian representatives with U.S. airport construction and improvement projects, technologies and best practices in advance of the 2012 European Football Championships. Poland and Ukraine were selected as host countries for the event and are planning significant investments in airport infrastructure. LCPA, operator of Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Page Field General Aviation Airport (FMY) in Fort Myers, was one of three airports in the United States selected for a site visit.
