Goodwill names Sell new career development director
Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc. welcomes Mike Sell as the organization’s new Director of Career Development Services. His responsibilities will be to manage the day-to-day operation of the department, obtain and analyze customer feedback, and to assess and enhance the programs offered by Goodwill’s Career Development Services department and Job-Link offices.
A non-profit professional for more than a decade, Sell was most recently a prevention and education coordinator with Epilepsy Services of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers. In that position, he helped to provide community outreach and prevention programming to five counties. Sell is a former executive director of the Associated Marine Institutes, working with at-risk youth and overseeing a day treatment program for youth offenders.
Sell’s history of public service extends beyond his career with non-profits. He has received firefighter certification from the Broward Fire Academy and earned an EMT certificate from Tallahassee Community College. Sell also served in the United States Army as a combat medic and nuclear biological and chemical specialist before studying at Florida Atlantic University.
Sell resides in Fort Myers with his wife, Debra, and sons Mikey and C.J.
