Sun Splash Family Waterpark will open its doors for special evening hours Friday, Aug. 26, for an evening of aquatic fun, including the showing of the movie “Rango” on a giant inflatable movie screen at dusk.

“Aqua Theatre Night” will take place from 6-10 p.m. (weather permitting). THis is the third is the third “Aqua Theatre Nights” to be held at Sun Splash during the 2011 season.

In addition to the movie that guests can watch from the Family Pool, all of Sun Splash’s regular attractions will be open, including the park’s three speed slides, plus the Main Stream River, Electric Slide, Cape Fear and Tot Spot for the little ones, plus a special “Rango” prize pack will be raffled off to a lucky winner.

Park admission for “Aqua Theatre Night” is $8 plus tax per Cape Coral resident and $10 plus tax per non-resident. Season pass holders are admitted free. Parking is not included.

Sun Splash is currently only open on weekends (and Labor Day) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sept. 25. In addition, one last “Family Fun Night” will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. the second Saturday of September and the final “Aqua Theatre Night” will be the fourth Friday of September from 6-10 p.m. (weather permitting).
