Friday, June 19, motorists should continue to be on alert for a shift in traffic to the east side of Santa Barbara Boulevard from just south of Kamal Parkway to just south of Gleason Parkway. Travel lanes on the west side of the road will remain closed to motorists, which will reduce both northbound and southbound traffic on Santa Barbara Boulevard to one lane only in this section of roadway.

In addition, the temporary closure of S.W. 28th Terrace is necessary for crews to construct the west side of Santa Barbara Boulevard. Motorists are advised that left turns from side streets onto Santa Barbara Boulevard are not permitted during this phase of construction.

Advance warning signs, electronic message boards and barricades will be used to assist those traveling through the area. Construction on this section of the roadway is scheduled for the next several months, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
