A Flag Day Celebration will be held Sunday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Metz Funeral Chapel, 1306 Lafayette St., in Cape Coral.

There will be free flags for children and any adult bringing in a weathered American flag will receive a free American flag as a replacement.

The VFW Post 8463 will conduct a flag retirement ceremony at noon.

In addition, “Betsy Ross” and “Uncle Sam” will be on hand for the event.
