Lee County Red Cross deploying four volunteers to North Dakota
Four volunteers from the American Red Cross of Lee County chapter are preparing to deploy to North Dakota to help support the relief efforts surrounding the expected flooding of the Red River.
Volunteers Betty Conley, Howard Harrison M.D., Elizabeth Harrison D.M.D. and Ron Saberton are all flying to North Dakota Thursday. All four volunteers are either licensed health or mental health workers.
The Red Cross is dedicated to helping make families and communities safer at home and around the world. It provides training in life-saving skills and mobilizes relief to victims of disasters in addition to assisting members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
