Fort Myers police arrest three following burglary

Three men were apprehended and charged with burglary after Fort Myers police were called to a burglary in progress today.

Fort Myers police responded the burglary call at 1442 Linhart Ave. at 2:59 p.m. The resident and a neighbor told officers they found three men, one armed with a hammer, inside the home. The neighbor, fearing it could be used as a weapon,reached out and grabbed the hammer. A brief struggle ensued until the suspects fled on foot.

Police set up a perimeter and with assistance from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit located the suspects in the 2200 block of Jeffcott Street. Police took the three into custody without incident. Police also recovered the stolen property and the suspects confessed, officials said.

Charged with armed residential burglary are:

Sean Moore (d.o.b. 3-6-94 of 1143 Homer Avenue South, Lehigh Acres)

Christopher Walker (d.o.b. 10-11-88 of 2505 Royal Palm Avenue, Fort Myers)

Reginald Hodge (d.o.b. 11-27-93 of 3461 Eastland Street)
